The Duke Swimming and Diving Alumni Outreach Committee was created in the Summer of 2012.  Our purpose is to renew and strengthen connections among of all of us who have shared the experience of smelling like chlorine while we were in college.

ORIGINS
Since its humble beginnings with a student chaplain as the first head coach in 1926, the Duke Swimming and Diving team has seen over 1500 athletes get wet for the glory of Old D.U.  And while Duke struggled to beat the local YMCA in its early years, it has since produced NCAA and ACC champions, Olympic medalists, World Champions and a lot of fond (and sometimes repressed) memories for all alums, whether you participated 4 years or just a semester.

This site was put together to help all of us reconnect with the program - past, present and future.  Poke around and check out a complete roster, embarrassing photos of your old teammates, archival yearbook coverage (not always pretty but always entertaining), and lots of other stuff.

We will also have information on upcoming events, team news, and local get-togethers.

This website and associated endeavors are completely supported by alumni (i.e., no funding from Duke Athletics), so everything you see is the result of the contributions and time commitment of some enthusiastic volunteer alums.  Any donation you make through the Iron Dukes directly supports the team.

Be a part of the community.  Host a local event.  Attend a swim meet.
