Over the years, the Duke Swimming and Diving Team have been known by many names:  The Tankers, The Tankmen, The Mermen, The Nereidians, and The Devilfish.  However, the team spirit, drive for excellence, and chlorinated water remain the same.  
Thankfully, The Chanticleer, Duke's Yearbook, has catalogued each season.  (Except for most of the 1970s and early 1980s,  a time when the Chanticleer was exploring the boundaries of artistic expression.  In those years, there were many pictures, few words, and no coverage of swimming or diving).
